My first day ended with a completely different mindset than when it began. I decided to turn myself over to the city and not be a tourist anymore. I closed my maps, my books, and packed them away for good. To be honest, even though I'd paid two hundred dollars for the judges pass I was tempted to chuck it and charge out into Amsterdam to discover what I could of the city myself. But I scratched that plan when I considered that by going to the Cup I could get a much better perspective on what had been general impressions of High Times and several of the Coffeeshops.




Okay, let's see if I have everything I need to brush my teeth, toothbrush, check, toothpaste, check, weed, check...



The Cup's opening ceremonies were scheduled for the next day and since my first had been filled with many emotions and even more weed I freshened up and turned in. Little did I know that the next day would be another pivotal turning point in my trip, but that will have to wait for another time.
