[11-17-2007, 8:30 AM Tourist Familiaris]

I needed some time to organize my thoughts. I started in the direction of the next Coffeeshop, but the sun was coming up and the activity of the city was beginning so I started taking pictures. What the camera captures through the lens is infinitesimal in comparison to actual life, a photograph simply tells you that something beautiful once stood for a moment to be captured. The shutter bugs clicking, shuddering, and flicking around the canals with their flashbulbs bickering.

My camera seemed almost ill-equipped to the task at hand. Heh, I guess it sorta was...

My thoughts again drifted back to my rationale for coming to the Cannabis Cup, was I just another camera clicking tourist? Yeah in a way I was because I have pics to prove it. I guess it's important to not only feel the passion of your dreams but their very real consequences as well. If your heart pushes you boldly forward be mindful of the moment, don't let it pass without checking in with yourself about what its supposed to really mean.

Ya know?

With that realized I snapped a few more shots and headed into my next Coffeeshop, smoked more mediocre tasting weed but by this time my bell was beginning to get rung. I had to sit for a minute to collect myself and headed to the next three without missing a beat. As a thrill I mixed in a little haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaashish and after a minute it settled into my bones like a syndrome of THOU ART VERY STONED BRO. I want to make a point here, I didn't take any pictures of those Coffeehouses because I was sick of judging, I just wanted to get high and get high I did Lords and lads------->and get high I did.

At some point I picked myself up from a couch and marched in the geral direction of my hotel. I was so stoned when I checked in that I barely remember going up the lift to the fifth floor where I had to take another flight of stairs. [Note: The stairwells in Amsterdam are like ladders. I was wheezing like a porn star getting something as I lugged my big awkward bag to the top of the FUCKING stairs to the sixth floor. ]
