I had the same feeling but I was too exhausted from my flight over--which I didn't sleep on at all--that I decided to ditch my heavy bag. Had I known how much fun I was going to have I would've thrown it on my back and ran around the city looking for smoke.

Unless you live in Cali and have a med card, nothing comes close to going to A'dam and being able to order weeds and hashes off of a menu at €10/gram, and having the ability to choose from so many different kinds of dank at once. Just the availability was what wowed me. Maybe quality takes a hit due to the need to produce more for all the tourists and crowds at the cup? I dunno but I can't wait to go back. Peace.
You're onto something here because the ability to walk up to a counter in a Coffeeshop and order your choice of buds or hashish is really amazing. And even more amazing is that in some of the Coffeeshops there are very cozy nooks and crannies you can hide yourself away in to write, ruminate, or snuggle up to someone sweet.

Good thread, man.

And yo, do you have any macro pictures or high definition pictures of this shitty amsterdam bud?
I find it very hard to believe that they don't put love into the growth of their buds...thats really sad, man.

Edit---What is the currency transfer rate, too?
I'm barely mediocre with a camera so I don't have any macros for you guys to see, beside who wants to see weed that looks like that close up?

The current exchange rate for the US dollar to the Euro: 1.4741

Absolutely bro, Amsterdam is a city of culture and art. If weed were illegal there I'd still go back period. I'd spent so much time with my fucking head stuck in the middle of my grow obsessing about weed that it never occurred to me to look a little closer at the Cannabis Cup. Hopefully we can all learn from our mistakes, I know I have.

Goods points!

This statement truly encapsulates what I feel right now. As I just stated above, my brain was focused on one thing and one thing only, weed and that myopic perspective clouded my research of the Cup before I went. I absolutely without any question I love Amsterdam the City, it was a terrific place to visit and I plan on going back many, many more times in the future without question.

I want to travel there again when it's warm so I can sit outside and feel the warm rays of the sun on my face while I toast some trees.

that's the way I felt after I went........and I'm addicted to it now..........not the weed, the city! the weeds just a bonus, I get to go about 3-4 times a year now, I can fly there for about $100, when it's that close you get to see a lot of it, and the best weed I ever had there was "Oceans Haze" from Dampkring.

Coming back home's the hardest part, when you get back, you just feel........things are just better there........I'd love to live there, to feel a true part of it, to breath it in and exhale it out, and think I'm part of it, and it's part of me.

I hope it was a good experience for you, it certainly was/is for me.............Peace out............Sid
Amsterdam started to feel like my home after only a few days, and after a few more I started thinking about the possibility of living there.

Bro you definitely want to go to Amsterdam, don't cancel your trip because some of the buds aren't up to par. Keep reading my posts I'm going to talk about that a lot because Coffeeshop buying is almost like a science. You have to meticulously search around the city as well as get very friendly with the patrons and staff of the shops. You have to keep asking questions bro and if you do your trip will be well worth it.

Word.
