The average THC level in coffeehouses in the Netherlands is about 18–19%
now im really confused, what bout all the nice strains they got down there blueberry, white widow, super skunk, forbidden fruit, northern lights, all that good stuff and it looks they have the best combination of strains, strains u never heard of. With all the nice seeds, and it being pretty much legal since then 1980's how dont any of these grows know what there doing, there has to some really experienced growers down there doing it for possibly a decade or more. They have the best genetics, how is that even possible they dont know what there doing.

My first point would be, don't rely so much on wikipedia for all of your facts. It's an invaluable research tool but it's also one with many limitations. That is to say, if a person adding a fact doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about then... Well you get where I'm going. The last strain I grew had a "THC level" of over 19%, truth is there's a lot of good bud all over the place since genetics are readily available through the mail, which is how I usually procure mine. Besides the whole how do you prove what percentage each marijuana strain has thing, I've got to say up front that I've seen many a grower fuck up really potent weed and all because they didn't want to wait until the plant had fully matured. Secondly, greed is probably the primary motivation on the Dutch scene, but either way you slice it Arjan called it "ignorance" and I guess I do too. Only someone that's ignorant would think that quality has to suffer just because they have a deadline.
Lastly, what I said was a generalization based on my experience with many Coffeeshops so far and the opinions of others. Yes there are superb Dutch growers but they are the exception not the rule.
