I always smoke when I am sick. Although, it's probably not the best route to go on the way to recovery, but it helps me cope with my illness more than most medicine I get over the counter or from doctor's.

I just got over a month-long sickness. I had a sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, headache, cough and really bad chest congestion. I get sick like this always around the beginning of October, so it's normal.

Whenever I smoked, my headache and chest congestion seemed to go away. I didn't really pay much attention to my sore throat and nose so I assume they went away too, atleast a little. Only thing it didn't help was with my cough, which is obvious as to way.

Also, last year I had a fever of 102 and smoking helped me a lot.
