No that Is real opium. When a pod is ripe for scoring and the opium sap oozes out, not 100% of the opium will be extracted from justing letting it ooze. There will still be a little bit in the pod. The seeds have some opium latex on them. This is method just extracts that little bit leftover opium that is left on the seeds and removes the seeds from it. The process by which it extracts is a hot water extraction because opium dissolves well in hot water.
