Im not defending the kid or anything but it sounds like the mom just came up in mid-game play and pulled the plug.. personally that shit would have set me off too.. im not a minor though, I have a little more control over my emotions.
regardless, thatd suck to be playing a game online and just have someone come up and pull out your connection.
