Gilmour is at a level where there is no other comparison; but that doesn't make him the best. The likes of Page, Hendrix, SRV, Clapton, Beck, etc.... are all on their own level, beyond comparison with eachother.

Believe me, I live for Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin... David Gilmour and Jimmy Page... and I've ran it over in my head thousands of times; who's better?

But you just can't come to a justified answer, I believe it's impossible.

I really don't even feel like gushing about Mr. Gilmour, words don't suffice... either way, I'm very glad to say I own the PULSE DVD... It's brought tears to my eyes too.

I'll leave everyone with this, what I believe is the best example of guitar tone ever, only what is to be expected from a man often called the god of tone;
