I believe that this is what Jesus was talking about when he was referring to the new wine.
Wine is a process whereby a fruit which would normally rot and decay is turned into something that will last forever. This is done by first letting the grapes ferment, and then systematically removing all impurities, then letting it settle and removing more impurities... until nothing but purity remains.
This is just like bringing your conciousness to a higher and higher level... If you leave any impurity behind it can spoil the wine.. however these impurities also add a lot of flavor to the wine (the longer that they are in there). So it is ok to have impurities in your wine, but once you have finally taken all the impurities out... all that is left is pure wine... or pure love, ie, Jesus.
