To ask what is the point implies that life is a line segment, for points make up a line segment and lines intersect at a point. I like to look at life as one of many planes that intersect not at a point but rather an edge. In other words lines intersect at a point but planes intersect at a line.
Fuck, I have no idea what tangent I was going on about, or even what the point is (haha pun).
