an easy way to sex would be to clone it, then put the clone under 12/12, then when it shows its sex, youll know the sex of your plant, ive never tryed your idea, but ide just use a black bag & cover a well developed side branch, poke a few holes in the top of bag, & take it off everyday to let it breath, just for a few minutes in dark
