I think you need to revamp a lot of the writing, for some reason it just gives off an unprofessional vibe. Maybe not be so quick to attack the "media" and try to have a parent like attitude in which you're just correcting someone and not shoving your own opinion down peoples' throats. You REALLY need to take off the ads, it just makes your site look like a joke and that you're not serious about it. Take them off.
