However, I think desk lamps go for around $20 to $40 or so. Again, try for those ballast things; you might be able to get more for cheaper. For 4 plants at 50 watts per plant, you would need 200 watts of cfl's. However, if you want to light a 4x5 foot room that, would probably take closer to 600 watts or so. You can mix a 50/50 daylight to soft white ratio throughout the grow or use 75/25 daylight to soft light during veg and go 75/25 soft to day during flower.
