I thought of this on acid. Look at a model drawing of the solar system, with the planets' patterns of orbit, the rings, with the sun in the middle. Take that picture, put it next to a model of an atom, notice they look very similar. Our solar system could be an atom in a much bigger piece of matter. Scientists have proven that a great deal of the space taken up by atoms is empty space between the nucleus and surrounding electrons etc. I reasoned that if we are an atom, with "outer space" being the space between the atoms, and the other stars being the other atoms, making up a larger piece of matter. I have also figured that if the first two theories are true, then matter would go into smaller pieces too would it not? If we are an atom, part of a bigger piece, and we are a universe, then isn't an atom part of a much smaller universe? The existance of matter never ends.
