I think the information Kamel presents here is quite revolutionary. It totally changes my prespective on indoor grows. Couldnt imagine messing with venting and electircal wiring (though its not that complex just not practical in my situation). This changes everything though. Not only does he point people to original references but then summarizes so the rest of us can use the knowledge - extraordinary. If theres ever a reason to max out someones rep this is it.

Sorry to gush, so heres my question. How do grow shops justify prices such as those below? The equivalent 3 x 65W Lights of Am would cost around $35 (Im assuming that 200W is the true wattage). Would the expensive lights last longer or be of higher quality for better yields? The break even would be about 5 weeks.

Thanks.

ECO Plus 200 watt bulb $139.95

Eco Plus\'s 200 Watt 6500K compact fluorescent light bulb is an energy efficient, easy to install plant grow light bulb. The 6400K full spectrum compact fluorescent grow light is best used for plant growth, seedlings and starts or for growers on a budget. This fluorescent bulb by Eco Plus has a mogul base screw and fits into our Compact Fluorescent garden light fixture or Sun System VIII fixture. This full spectrum bulb does not fit into standard medium based screw fixtures.
