Forgive me in advance if this is a rather silly question.
I have a 400 watt hps/mh ballast that came with a hood already installed:
I was planning on changing my current hood/lamp with a cooltube. Here is an image of the cool tube:
The place I bought it from claims it will be incompatible and I will have to buy a new ballast. I am wondering if this is in fact, fact. Or if it is just a liability type thing. I figured i would be able to cut the wires from my current lamp and install it into the new cool tube. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE before I spend money I don't have to!
KEEP IT GREEN!
