I agree with all of you... on one side YES smoking and doing opiates such as orally swallowing a FEW Vicodin or a FEW Percocet is an awesome feeling. If you moderate opiates and the weed then it's perfect... especially if the weed is really high quality. Also even with oxycontin, which is just pure Oxycodone you have to moderate how many you take. Most people CANNOT handle something as strong as even a 40 Oxycontin. A name brand Oxycontin dumps HALF right away for instant release... the other half is time released over 12 hours... so that's 20mg instant and 20mg extended over time. The problem is people break them... once it is broken and not whole anymore it is ABSOLUTLEY NOT time released... it is instant release. When people parachute them or snort them it is also instant release. Most people do not realize how powerful instant release Oxycodone really is. On the other hand opiates are VERY DANGEROUS and easy to overdose and get SEVERELY addicted. People become so addicted they THINK it is normal to just pop pills or shoot up more and more opiates every day, or just take enough to "feel good."

Also BE SAFE here is a calculator to see the potency and tolerance for different opiates... tolerance is everything... your opioid receptors become permanently used to opiates... even if you quit for 20 years, new studies show opioid receptors do not repair so your tolerance stays. Also people overdose on pills like Percocet and Vicodin (others like Lorcet, Lortab, Norco, Percodan.) It only takes 4,000-6,000mg of Tylenol/APAP/Acetaminophen to SHUT DOWN your LIVER and/or KIDNEYS... people pop enough Percocet and Vicodin to reach that level on the road trying to reach high levels of hydro or oxycodone... that's why it is so hard to get pure hydro or oxycodone. They even make it in pure instant release liquid on your tongue... 20mg/1ml on your tongue... instant release oxycodone called Oxyfast. They used to make types of vicodin and percocet with even HIGHER levels of Tylenol... back in the day before they knew how dangerous Tylenol was/is you could get a Vicodin for instance with 15 or 20mg of hydrocodone over 1,000/1,500/2,000mg of Tylenol. Now they know that just 2-4 of those could kill someone... so now I believe the max is 750mg Tylenol with any opiate... in one pill.
I personally have been on literally almost every opiate available. Different forms of hydro and oxycodone, methadone, Hydromorphone(Dilaudid) and Oxymorphone(Opana, BRAND new), Fentanyl(Duragesic, name brand and generic, Actiq lollipops.) All this was for 5 major knee reconstructions I have had over a period of 3 years... following a car accident that was NOT my fault... all the operations failed and I have permanent knee pain/disability. My prescription right now is for 40mg name brand only oxycontin... 1 every 4 hours... 6 max day. Also for breakthrough pain that gets through the Oxycontin, I have Actiq lollipops.
