Watts and amps dont work like that. You could have a bigger draw at start up but in amps not watts. Having them start up five minutes apart is a good idea. Its not needed on a 20 amp circuit but is not a bad idea. I dont care if you just turned on the light or not its going to use 1100 watts of power to run it. Just remember to not go over 75% of the circiuts rated amps and you should be fine.
