Anyway both outlets are now connected by a T to power one stone. I'm going for at least 48 hours on this run. Also, I was wondering if it would help to add a couple drops of grow big, assuming that since they're so old they used up all their stored nutrients?

i don't know about those nutes, but if you got them to sink before, that shows that they began to take in water, so instead of popping them right in the soil, i would transfer them from the bottle(nice set up btw, very creative) to a paper towell, and continue with that method, until hopefully** a taproot pops, ...also its not quite as suspensefull, as if it was in soil, if i was in that situation i'd be ripping my hair out.
