Every time I read threads like this it simply reaffirms my stance on the recreational use of marijuana and how such use should be scaled back drastically from large segments of society, because they aren’t being enlightened about themselves, instead they’ve been made dumber. Anyone that thinks that it’s good idea to get their pet high, and more importantly, diligently defend such behavior as acceptable, IMHO aren’t in touch with their humanity. I've read over some of those threads and all I could come away with was a deep sense of shame. There’s so much waste here. This site has the potential to frame a positive argument about a miraculous plant that can help so many but instead we lose sight of the goal and become mired in nonsense.

This is what people come to the City for, sharing moronic tales of getting their pets high? How many issues face our community on a daily basis from law enforcement, to The Federal Government, and this is the sum total of their contributions? I feel very sad to write these words but I can't express them in any other way that will strike home with more truth, some people are of no earthly use. They could be, but they take whatever talents or skills they possess and take a big wet shit all over them, regardless of how such cavalier attitudes affects others.

I may sound crazy for saying this but Cats and dogs don’t have opposable thumbs, so if they didn’t have an owner that thought they should get high, more than likely they wouldn’t do it themselves. To have a respect for all life doesn’t mean you have to share your experiences with them, but I do think it means you should have some deference for theirs. The thing that scares me the most is that people need to have it explained to them instead of intuiting it naturally on their own.

I'm glad all those threads were closed and I hope this one is too.
