I hope no body would actually drink bleach straight.
Before you go off the deep end though, consider this.
Most, if not all, of the cities in America chlorinate the city water supplies.
Bleach will not kill you (or hurt you) unless you are less than wise about it.
How high was the concentration of bleach that burned your throat? I bet it was a hell of a lot higher than 4 gtts / 8oz. water.
