I have just aquired all the basic materials needed to do a bubbler (5 gal with net pot) system, and am just curious about the nutes. The nutes I got came with something else I got and are just labeled Base, Catalyst, Grow, and Bloom. I know when I should be using the grow and bloom, but what are the others and when do I use them? Also since there are no directions I have no idea how much to make. I am using a 5gal system for one plant (closet growing). Some confusions I have are:

• how exactly do I go about adding the nutes
• do I use nutes during the first few weeks after germ
• when do I start the bubbler
• how often should I add nutes
• when should I change the water
• how often should I check the ph
• when do I use the different types of nutes
• and how many ppm should there be in the system at various stages of growth?

Which leads me to my next question, is a ppm meter absolutley necessary, and how is it different from an ec meter? Thank you to all for anything you have to offer. I may have more questions as time goes on.
