Did an experiment once with a large balloon(2 foot diameter) of pure oxygen attached to a glass tube with a pinhole opening so it took a day or two to deflate. It was blowing into soil, and we refilled the balloon as needed. That plant grew twice as well as it's counterparts. Oxygen helps root growth but air is 20% oxygen and if you are allready airaiting the roots there should be enough oxygen for good root growth. Pure oxygen would be overkill.
