I am not sure what went wrong for the past. But just a summary, Here what I done with the past.
First attempt, I used the paper towel method with 14 seeds. my bad! I just realized I should only use 5 seeds at a time. I put the seeds with the paper towel inside the tupperware. Then I place the tupperware on a heat source like on the top of my PC monitor. The seeds cracked very fast but no roots or sprout came out. I waited days to weeks and no progress.
Then the second attempted, I use the same method with 5 seeds. but this time no heat source. the seeds cracked after couple of days and thats it. No sprout came out.
So what I did put the both batch of my seeds in two seperate of half filled soil. And left it outside in the garden. At the same day drop 3 seeds on
cup of water for my third attempt of germination. I leave it alone for more than a week. At first the seeds floats but after couple of days all 3 seeds sinks down. Then I when out for a week and when I came back to check the my seeds from the cup of water, the seeds just had some small cracks.
Anyway when I check the cups from the garden. I found out of the cup has one very tiny plant that has two oval green leafs. My bad because I didn't label the cups. At this point I am not sure if this is already a marijuana plant or just twig. anyway, I put floro-lights at the plant and it developed 2nd pair of spear shape leaves. you try to check the picture that I attached but I am still not sure if its a marijuana plant. Right now the plant is already 1 weeks and 3 days under floros-lights. But plant is only 0.5 mm in height. At this point I am waiting for the 3rd pairs of leaves, from what I read from different forums from the 2nd or 3rd pairs of leaves it will show the characteristics of 3 pointed leaves which is similar to the matured marijuana plant. can someone help me to identify if this is already a marijuana seedling. But right now I am starting all over again from scratch. Since I have limited seeds right now I decided to germinate 1 seeds at a time.
couple of days ago I scruffed 1 seed and I directly planted the seed in soil. Then I put the small cup of soil inside a small icecream bucket with cover. I was thinking this will create a mini green house effect environment. 5 days so far the soil is very moist but still signs of seedling. hehe
Then yesterday, I drop 1 scruffed seed in a small container with water. It floats but after 13 or 14 hours the seed sinks but still no signs of sprout.
Right now, I am planning to transfer the seed to a ziplock with paper towels. But I am just wondering how long should I leave the seed alone in the cup of water? I am also considering of applying growth horme solutions. Not sure if super thrive is available in my local market. hehe I am located in Southeast Asia. I only found Hormex solutions, not sure if that will help with germination of the seeds.
At the moment I have only have 5 seeds left from my stash. Its really hard to find seeds from where I am located. It took me several years to asked some seeds from my friends. If I failed to germinate my remaining seeds I had it will take me years again to find seeds.
I am not sure why my attempts failed or where did I do wrong. Right now I have 2 ongoing germinations and I am also taking detailed notes and labels in my seeds. A lesson that I learned from the hard way.
I am currently seeking advices and comments from the experienced growers out there. I just want to germinate my seeds!!! huhuhuhhuhu my ears are all open to you guys.
