I watched the sun rise, I relished in it's warmth and welcomed the day;
This morning, I watched the news.
I watched the reporter talk.
I heard her words.
I looked at the screen.
I saw the pictures.
A grizzly story of dead children,
Greiving mothers, and angry, confused men,
A story of bombs and fire and rubble,
This morning I watched the news, and saw people die,
A story of Canadians, Lebonese, Americans, Israelis,
Jews, Muslims, and Christians
Every single one a fucking human being
This morning I watch the news and I cried.
I'm not afraid to admit it. Politics seem so far from Lebanon and Israel. Shedding a tear is the very least i can do as a human being. I wish to make no political statement of any kind, because it means absolutley nothing to those people.
