I owned an 89 ford thunderbird back in 98. I paid less than 2 grand for it. I say you're getting ripped off. Big time. Check kelly blue book value on it. WWW.kbb.com. This is what it told me, and I don't have any information on your car, so I just punched in some basics. http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.u...;ucp;&15;FO;H1

Do what you want, but a car that's over 10 years old and OVER 250,000 is usually asking for trouble. Especially if you have to make repairs on it right off the bat.

Just my .02.
