I owned an 89 ford thunderbird back in 98. I paid less than 2 grand for it. I say you're getting ripped off. Big time. Check kelly blue book value on it.

Do what you want, but a car that's over 10 years old and OVER 250,000 is usually asking for trouble. Especially if you have to make repairs on it right off the bat.
