Has anyone had a problem with caterpillars im growing indoors but a couple of times ive put her outside if the sun was out but ive put her indoors now as she's started flowering. I was inspecting my baby and looking at my top bud i noticed it had like white cottenwool stuff right in tight to the stem my 1st thought was spider mites (cob web) so i use a toothpick and started to remove this white stuff as i got most of it off i saw something move it was a tiny little green caterpillar about 2mm i got and killed it ive looked over the plant and it only seems to be the top flower he got to.

any ideas how i can stop this happening again please
