If you don't believe me, drop a chunk of dry ice into a cup of cold water- it'll bubble and smoke for a bit, but then the water will freeze around the dry ice, giving it a coating of normal ice... eventually breaking and doing the bubbling thing again because the pressure from the gas breaks the normal ice.

awesome, that's what i thought originally... even if it is exothermic, i really cant picture the water not being extremely cold lol... thanks for the help
