long have i spliced shamanic techniques into my own paths, and found reading terrence mckenna's "the archaic revival" to be an excellent source of seeds and threads of information that the reader is free to explore on their own, also i have been hearing great things of his "food of the gods" book which may be yet even more relevant to the tangent this thread is increasingly becoming about. In the archaic revival he does at least mention some of his experiences traveling to south america, source of some of the most potent "psychedelic" exo-hormones known to mankind.
oh, and a little further afield (but not much at all) is the mystery of the chrystal skulls.
